ChessWorks 1.925 description ChessWorks is a peer to peer chess game where you play friends over a LAN or the Internet. It's simple - White selects "Connect", "Host" (ChessWorks then displays White's IP address). Black then selects "Connect", types White's IP address in the "Host" box, clicks Connect, and you're ready to play. An earlier version was rated "four mice" by Mac Download. The only omissions mentioned in that review - the ability to announce checkmate and a game tracker, have been added. Those wanting a "chess book diagram" style set should be very happy with the antialiased ChessAlpha piece set and "Pinstripe" board introduced in 1.925. ChessWorks also has chat, sound, save/restart game, 8 piece sets and eighteen boards. Utilities for making your own sets and boards, and for hosting your own ChessWorks server, are available at the new ChessWorks web page: http://www.nearside.com/EkimSW/ChessWorks/ Backward compatibility: If your opponents use a version lower than 1.8.7, they should upgrade, if lower than 1.6, they must, for compatibility with this version. System Requirements: System 7.1, 68K or PowerMac, Internet/Ethernet
