*** Installation ***

    To install Chess Captor from the distribution disk, please 
    do the following:

    a. if you are not running Windows, please start up Windows.
    b. insert the installation disk into your disk drive
    c. choose Run from the Start menu, type a:ccap200 and press 
       the Enter key.

    The Setup program will issue a number of prompts. Unless you 
    have a reason to override the defaults it is strongly 
    recommended that you accept the installation default settings 
    (just press Install or OK as appropriate). The installation 
    program will install Chess Captor 2.0.0 into a directory named 
    "Captor" under the program files folder. It will also create a 
    folder named "Chess Captor" on Windows' start menu with 
    shortcuts to the main program and some of its related files. 
    Important: These install parameters can unfortunately not be 
    changed! If you have an older version of Chess Captor 
    installed on your system I recommend to either uninstall it 
    first or make sure that it is in a different directory then 
    where version 2.0.0 will be installed.

    If you have downloaded Chess Captor from the internet or 
    obtained it via other channels the installation procedure is 
    similar to when installing from the distribution disk. In case 
    Chess Captor came in a ZIP file you will first have to extract 
    the file named CCAP200.EXE from the zip archive (the other 
    files can be ignored) into a temporary directory. Then please 
    make make sure that you instead of typing a:ccap200 type the 
    full path to the file CCAP200.EXE 
    (eg d:\internet\download\ccap200).

*** Upgrade Instructions ***

    Follow the installation instructions above. You can install
    this version of Chess Captor into the same location as a 
    previously installed version of Chess Captor, however, it 
    is recommended that you uninstall the older version first.
    Another option would be to install Chess Captor into another 
    directory, keeping both versions installed on the same 
    computer.

*** Requirements ***

    Chess Captor is 32-bit software. This mean that it will only 
    run on Windows 95, NT 4.0 or newer versions. Chess Captor does 
    not require any other programs or dlls than those that come 
    with the installation.

    Both Windows and Chess Captor require a video card and monitor 
    capable of rendering 256 colors.  Using Chess Captor on a 
    system without a mouse will not let you use all of Chess 
    Captor's features. Although not required; Chess Captor works 
    best on a computer with a soundcard and speakers.

    For full documentation, including context sensitive help,
    press the F1 key at any time while running Chess Captor.
